Hope you have all had a great start to your half term! I have had a productive and fun half term so far (and it's only Monday morning!!) Yesterday I had an early morning of knitting and a mid morning and afternoon painting. The piece is based on a photograph of me when I was about 18, and I love the atmosphere and composition of the piece. Below are pictures of my progress so far, hopefully I will be back at the studio soon to complete more and give you soon more updates. It has quite a lot of work to go, but pretty happy so far!
Below portrait pictures are some sneak peek photographs of my first scarf in the making ready to go to the Qube. More to come during the week so keep an eye on my Facebook or my blog :-)
I must have had one of the most stressful weeks in a very long time, but had a great escape day on Saturday at an oil painting class delivered by the fantastic Darren Fraser. I felt frustrated working in a new media with a lot on my mind, but the class was both supportive and energetic. I am still not completely happy with this, but I am glad I have experimented and tried something new (and a painting in a 4/5 hour workshop is quite impressive). A big thank you to the artist and the group. On another note I also have some new yarns and scalfs will be made up this week ready for the Christmas Exhibition at The Qube. EXCITING !!!
