Prynhawn Da Pawb! I am today celebrating some of the inspirational people in my life. The first blog post of the morning was about Gary Mc Shane, a portraiture artist who focuses on large scale charcoal and pencil drawings. This afternoon I am going to share another old University friend, who is one of the strongest women I know. I was very lucky she was one of my first housemates when I moved to Carmarthen; and though we live on other sides of Wales now we always remain close.
Emily has been through a tough life having to deal with a disability which cannot be seen and a lot of destructive people who have tried to put her down. However, after her beautiful little daughter Leela came along Emily really turned her life around, fighting her chronic physical and mental illnesses and creating an amazing life for her and her daughter.
Emily has started her business Caged Fire which gives recipes and insights of how she is recovering from her illness, as well as educating her young daughter at home. Her food is vegan friendly, but more importantly delicious and nutritious for adults and young children. Her recipes leave you not craving anything with a mix of delicious deserts, healthy meals and vitamin packed smoothies. She updates regularly about how she uses yoga in her life and suggests useful books to explore to develop your own healthy routines.
Emily home schools her daughter Leela and gives updates of how she sets up activities to help her learn and progress. Emily explains how she mixes homeschooling with everyday tasks and how to make your child feel confident and develop their imagination. The blog also discusses how to eat healthy on a budget, how to help you with your anxiety problems and interesting places around South Wales to play and explore.
I hope you all go check out her blog and try out some of her recipes- Warning... They may be amazingly delicious. But this is just a well done Emily, you are doing amazing!
