Morning everyone, I hope you are all having a relaxing holidays and have managed to stay out of the snow, wind and rain. (But of course staying out for that lovely sun that occasionally comes along ;-) )
I made a New Years Resolution to complete a full project this year which consisted of a number of art pieces that link together through theme or media. I also then wanted to get these professionally photographed if possible. Unfortunately I have experimented but had not felt anything to really grasp my interest until these last few days. I have felt a new wave of inspiration and have started some sketching to be taken into Textile Art Work. I tend to mainly work in pen when drawing, I feel it gives me more confidence to work with my mistakes and stops me feeling too conscious of perfection. This gives me my own illustrated style instead of striving to create a photograph perfect piece.
I am not going to give you too many hints about how these are going to be merged into textile art work, but for now I will leave you with a few photographs of my work. I will be looking forward to show you the process along the way.
Have an amazing holidays !
